Traditionally, it seems that countries such as France, Italy and Spain have been the favourites for people from the UK to move to. People have not exactly been falling over themselves to book international removals shipping UK Germany. But when you start to evaluate Germany, as a country, more closely, you soon start to wonder why.
Of course, that glorious Mediterranean climate has been the biggest draw for many people moving abroad, but when they get there, there really are so many issues that go against these Southern European countries.
First and foremost has to be the state of the economies and the level of wages that you can expect. Spain and Italy, especially, have far lower wages on average, when compared with the UK and you cannot guarantee a level of income that is anything like that you enjoyed in the UK.
Conversely, Germany is currently enjoying the strongest economy in Europe. GDP is on the rise far more quickly than here in the UK and wages tend to be better than what British counterparts could ever expect.
Then we have the overall standard of living: yes, Southern Europe does enjoy some great weather, but in terms of healthcare, education and all other general facilities that go towards making a better standard of life, these countries cannot touch what you could expect from Germany. As a country, it enjoys a high life expectancy and a high standard of living across the board.
