Exploring Growing Population Solutions

The growing population fueled by cheap oil and natural resources has almost reached its upper limit for growth. The problem being now that with this ever expanding population and dwindling resources, there will no doubt be a collapse.

Since the economy is tied to the availability of cheap resources, when these start to become increasingly costly the inevitable consequence will be hard impacts on societies across the globe, starting with the poorest.

Though it may well be that the poor have the resilience to cope much better through these crises as in many places they have had to survive without the luxuries of modern society. (more...)

Selling Used Cars Online

Years ago, locating a reliable second-hand car was like finding a needle in a haystack. It was a tedious process that required loads of research and often more than a few trips to used car dealerships. But all of that changed with the advent of the Internet.

Since automobiles are among the most popular products in nearly every nation on earth, it did not take long for car sellers to begin to advertise their wares online. In time, these dealerships learned that there was a better way, and that was to offer their cars on huge automotive sales websites.

These websites were and are essentially large databases that grant guests the opportunity to search for both new and used cars based on a number of specific criteria, such as price, car type, model, colour, etc. For used car dealers this service was a godsend as it affords them the ability to list specific vehicles for a modest fee. Your Property in Barbados Cannot Save You From Population Concerns

There are several theories that are being contemplated by scientists in regards to population control and sustainability. It is widely accepted that at some point in the future, maybe even sooner than we all think, the world will run out of resources.

Your multi-million dollar Property in Barbados will not be relevant when there is no water to drink and no food to buy. The world’s population has been steadily increasing and there appears to be no end in sight. Some countries, China namely among them, have already taken steps to curb population increases by establishing quotas for the amount of children that a couple can have. In most cases, parents in China are only allowed one child.

These theories range from the world being unable to sustain itself in 50 years, to as soon as 25. One major concern is our massive need for oil, which is a finite resource. (more...)

Gifts from France Will Not Save the World

In our free time, we prefer to not think about issues that affect globalisation. Instead of pondering on how to beat cancer or feed the poor, we instead are fixated on how to offer gifts from France or eat more French food or drink more French wine.

Our society has lost touch with the things that are most important, most notably ensuring the future survival of the human race. The world’s population is one the biggest concerns that modern scientists have. Most notably, how to control the population so that it does not over use the planet's resources, yet use enough to ensure future generations have sufficient quantities.

These are questions that will take decades to study, and even more decades to plan and implement in society. The world’s population is over 6 billion people, and that number is expected to increase substantially over the next fifty years. (more...)

Should Property Sellers Opt For Online Estate Agents?

Whether it is to sell a house, or to buy a house, one cannot obviate the need for estate agents. Estate agents make your life easier by making it their jobs to find a buyer for your property or to find a property for you to buy! Online estate agents are a popular choice among both sellers and buyers today. For one, their fees are lower than those of high street agents. High street companies often tend to charge a percentage on the value of the property as their commission. Often this commission is also dependant on the time taken to sell the property.

Online agents on the other hand, usually have fixed fees, and offer customized packages for clients. Depending on these packages which include advertising etc. clients have to pay a fixed fee to the agent.

Since online agents do not have to invest in a retail environment, these fees can be lowered. By no means do low agent fees reflect on their service! Online property services often include photographs of the property, extensive advertising for your property etc. it is a fact that most buyers do an elaborate search for properties online. This means online advertising is bound to increase your chances for a sale.

Population Growth vs. Population Slowdown

By the early nineteen sixties demographers were already warning people about the dangers of rapid population growth. These dangers included things like higher rates of disease, starvation and social welfare programs. But a funny thing happened during the 1960's — the growth rate in most industrialised nations suddenly started to decline.

In fact, the rate has been cut in half from a high of 2.20 percent in 1963 to a record low of 1.10 percent in 2009. There are many reasons why population growth has slowed over the past four decades. The two most obvious explanations are that birth control has become more popular and that working women are having far fewer children in most wealthy nations. That may be why Barcelona apartments are mostly empty these days.

Is slowing growth a problem? Well, one phenomenon that is a bit disconcerting is that populations are still growing rapidly in impoverished parts of the globe. For example, growth rates in parts of the Middle East, Asia and Africa are still well above two percent. This is a problem because most of the countries in these regions suffer from diseases like AIDS that have become pandemics due to the increasing number of children that are born with the disease. Aging Populations and Immigration

Rapid population growth hasn't been a concern in Europe for several decades now. In fact, what is more troubling to demographers is the fact that the populations in many of these countries are actually shrinking and rapidly aging. Reporters have even given this trend a name: they call it the greying of Europe.

How big a problem is it? Well, according to one expert, if current trends continue, the age of the average European will go from 37 in 2008 to over 52 years old by 2050. As you might expect, this dramatic growth in the elderly population in Europe will lead to a number of economic problems.

First and foremost, the older people get the more likely they are to retire, which means that they will be taking money from the government rather than paying in the form of taxes. Therefore, a much smaller percentage of working age people will be forced to make up the difference. About the only sector of the European economy that can expect a bit of a bump because there will be more retired people is the travel industry as retirees are likely to rent Warsaw apartments and accommodation . No Room at the Inn

Whether it's a nativity scene or whether your looking through Paris apartments for a place to stay, things are getting a little cramped. The rapid population growth has pushed us past six billion, past six and a half billion and we are now heading towards seven billion at quite some pace.

It has taken us hundreds of generations to reach six billion yet we can push past ten billion with just a few more branches on the family tree. The population is also ageing quite considerably since we are all living much longer than we ever have before.

Whilst this may be good for library attendance figures or bums on church pews, this spells a big problem for our pension schemes and chances of an early retirement. The economy isn't built to cater for the needs of those who aren't working and we cannot work and then expect to draw a pension for 40 happy years; this just isn't possible. (more...)

How Big Can Mankind Really Get?

There's no hiding the fact that the human population is getting bigger and bigger and that every passing day sees it reaching a new record high. The pace of this is speeding up but are we heading for a loss of control?

Mankind is right at the top of the food chain and we seem to be eliminating all natural threats and checks on our population size. Our standards of living are generally very high and medical care is excellent in most locations. We live in a very comfortable world and you may even be reading this from one of the nice apartments in Florence or whilst sipping on your favourite evening tipple.

We have no real hardships if we compare our lives to those of people living just 100 years ago and we can realistically expect to have far less to worry about in the future too. Life is getting easier and this will further speed up the population growth on Earth. (more...)

A Taste of Las Vegas in the Far East

Of all the tourist attractions in Asia , Macau is fast earning a reputation for being one of the premier casino destinations. As Macau was previously connected more to Portugal; kind of like our version of Hong Kong, very little was known about it years ago. Today, this is all changing, as Macau is now increasingly considered as one of the best destinations to travel to in all of Asia.

Macau is very similar to Las Vegas in many ways, although perhaps nothing like as tacky! There is more of an air of sophistication attached to this destination and the whole gambling experience is said to be far more tasteful than its US counterpart. Monte Carlo would probably transpire to be Macau's closest comparable.

Accommodation in this vibrant corner of China is often as opulent as the casinos themselves. What's more, you will also tend to find that the rooms are at a very reasonable rate, especially when you consider what you are getting for your money. (more...)

Why are UK Jobs in Short Supply?

As a direct result of the current worldwide economic climate, the unemployment figures in uk jobs has increased significantly. The amount of people claiming unemployment benefit nowadays are getting close to the record high figures of the early eighties.

The problem with having such a high unemployment rate is that there are a great deal of people applying for the same jobs, making it a far more completive market.

It is also commonly regarded that the growing UK population from EU member states has also greatly contributed to this problem. This is especially the case where it comes to unskilled jobs, such as in agriculture and factory jobs. (more...)

How Not All of The Population of Australia Live on the Coast!

Although Australia is amongst one of the largest countries in the world, it has a comparatively low population density. This is due to the fact that the majority of the interior of the country is arid bush and dessert, forcing most of the population of over 22 million inhabitants to live on the narrow coastal strips in and around the major cities.

Although Sydney has by far the largest population of any city in Australia, the capital city of Australia is Canberra. In contrast to the majority of Australian cities, Canberra is located inland. With the status of being the country's capital, which the city has held since 1908, comes the influx of many business travellers form other parts of the country and the world. Therefore there are a large number of hotels to cater for the accommodation needs of these visitors.

As would be expected from this capital city, within the choice of affordable hotels Canberra has to offer are a number of four or five star properties, as well as the more basic motels and guest houses to cater for business and other travellers on a smaller budget. (more...)

Population Exploding in the Third World!

This is an issue that really does cause great concern to me. After all, with a population that is steamrolling towards the 7 billion mark, this poor old planet really cannot sustain many more billions of souls.

What is even more worrying is the fact that the vast majority of these new souls will be born into the already poorest nations of the world. One such tremendously worrying example is India.

The country that has one of the biggest disparities in the world, between rich and poor, is likely to become the biggest cause of pollution in the future and the rest of the world are not doing anything to prevent this. Whilst we all seem more interested in issues such as flights from Sydney to , we are not concerned over the fact that India and other third world nations are on the path to destruction for our fragile planet in general. The Ever Expanding Australian Population

Australia has appealed to many people for a number of decades now. This is quite interesting really, as around 150 plus years ago, this is the part of the world that people were sent to by way of a severe punishment.

The big question we will be attempting to answer here is: affordable hotels Australia ? Given the climate, which is most people's primary concern, Australia can come out on top; this is providing you steer clear of the very hot northern areas.

Due to the influx of immigrants into this country, the Australian population has continued to increase at quite a steady rate. However, given the sheer size of this continent, there is certainly room for many more. (more...)
